The Birthday Boy and the Lucky Photographer

Social media can be such a blessing for photographers, especially when word of mouth is involved. I showed up at this house without knowing who I was going to meet and DAMN. LOOK at this kid. We shot his senior photos on his 18th birthday. It was HOT and muggy and I was disgusting by the end of it, but I am just IN LOVE with this session. His name is Matthew and he looks like James Dean, or a Kennedy...or some other gorgeous creature...and he was AMAZING to work with (sometimes senior boys can be a pain in the ass). Delightful Daniella

Can we just talk about how BEAUTIFUL senior girls are nowadays? Gone are the awkward smiles and crooked teeth and bad hair. I swear, every single girl I'm lucky enough to get in front of my camera looks like a model. Daniella is obviously no exception. She is confident, and smart and beautiful and that all conveys gorgeously. This girl is going to do great things...I just know it.

Darling Dominique

I haven't posted any photos in SO LONG! We moved across the country and now live in Vienna, VA. I am trying to get things settled and break out my camera every once in a while! This is Dominique. Her mom works with my BFF (and pimp) Marlene. Have you ever just met someone and thought..."I could be good friends with this person?" I immediately felt that about this whole family. They are all beautiful and funny and warm and SO NICE! I've mentioned it before, and I'll say it again...senior girls are my FAVORITE subject to shoot. How are they ALL so gorgeous?

Senior girls...I think they are my FAVORITE subject to shoot. Now, don't get me wrong...I love families and kids and couples...but something about senior girls makes me just want to never stop shooting. This is Julia. She's graduating from St. Pius this year and couldn't be more beautiful...just look at that SMILE. I had so much fun getting blocked into a courtyard in Old Town, shooting in the flowers, and reminiscing with her mom (who used to teach Rusty in preschool)! I hope she loves these photos as much as I do!

Zach

Have I told you lately that I LOVE senior shoots? I think they are one of my favorite things to do. This is Zach...he took all of my "advice" and teasing in stride. His dad was awesome and we even had a beer before we started (the colorful walls in the first few photos are at Boese Brothers Brewing)! Zach is off to college to play baseball and study hard ;). Good luck to you handsome young man, you are going to rule the world!
