Friendship

Shannon has been my friend for 11 years now. She was there when I first picked up a camera, and has ALWAYS supported this journey of mine. Some of the best photos I've ever taken (in my humble opinion), are of Shannon. She and her gorgeous daughter Julia came to visit us in D.C. On her last day, she was doing yoga in the yard and I NEEDED to take photos. Her body is INSANE...she has THREE kids, y'all. She is quirky and upbeat and perfectly imperfect. I strive to be more like her...she is the most positive person I know. Thank you Shannon, for your friendship. I love you...and Julia too!! What a beautiful soul you are raising!

She Burns My Face Off

I've always wanted red hair. I am drawn to redheads (and even gave birth to one!) So when I met Randi at the salon where she burns my face off (IPL), I HAD to ask her to model for me. She is a natural in front of the camera and we had a blast! Look for her in the future, because I have SO many shoots in my head that include her! Randi, thank you for burning my face off both in front of AND behind the camera!

Gorgeous in the Forest

If you know me, you may be surprised to know that it is VERY hard for me to ask people to model for me. The first time I did, I was shot down so atrociously that I am definitely gun-shy now. But once I saw this beauty in my exercise class, I knew I just had too. I mean, look at her!! We met at her house and shot in her backyard and beyond it..which was an amazing forest. She told me that she wasn't photogenic. PSHHHH I say. I think I would cut off a limb to have hair like hers. I hope you enjoy!
