Isn't She Lovely

We traveled to Phoenix last week to attend Rod's 20th high school reunion, and see the new twins his sister just had (that post will be in a few days). Addie is the oldest cousin and she is the kindest, sweetest, most patient girl on the planet. She is also absolutley beautiful. I grabbed her for a few shots in front of the shed. There is also a shot of Rusty with her..they are the best of friends.

Chicken Fights and Horse Manure

My friend Marlene and I took our gaggle of kids to the Gallpoing Grace Youth Ranch. On the hottest day..ever. The kids rode horses, wrote thank you notes, groomed a horse, and then..the kicker..scooped manure. By the time we scooped (the last chore of the day), Marlene and I were filling up wheelbarrows as fast as we could..we were sweating to death. But the best part of the day? The chicken. The kids were arguing over who got to hold it..and it was SO TAME. We will definitely return. In the fall.
