I Sweat With Jasmine Star

For my birthday Rod bought me a ticket to see one of my FAVORITE photographers, Jasmine Star. She is touring the US, talking to small groups of people about business and such and who the hell cares..I met Jasmine Star! We laughed over how hot the building was (and how much we were sweating) and I asked her how she dealt with "mean girls" (which got a clap from the audience..guess I am not the only one). She brought her husband (and second shooter..and amazing photographer in his own right), JD, who was so funny and David Jay (who took HER wedding photos..WOW), another idol. I met several of the best photographers in the state of Arizona (and beyond)and made some new friends. So thank you Rod. You made my night..and you make my life.

Mickey D's Saves the Moms

I am not one of those moms who jump with joy when the kids have a day off from school. I kind of wish school was all year..and weekends. So, today was Presidents' Day, and my friend Marlene and I took our gaggle to McDonald's because it was cold and miserable outside, and we both wanted OUT. Now, between us we have 5 kids and only three are represented here, which doesn't say much for my photography skills when it comes to playdates (no judging allowed). Aidan, the youngest (and only boy) is so grumpy (in the funniest way possible)..so when he saw the smiley face he turned that sucker upside down. As I knew he would. Rory, being Rory, had to make a weird face for the camera...and Alyssa is just so sweet..always deep in conversation and beautiful. Next time I will try to focus on Livia and Rusty. Oops.

Katie, Katie, the Beautiful Lady

First..I have to tell you I have been having some MAJOR computer problems. Hopefully those are fixed and I can get back to blogging. Katie Danzer is obviously gorgeous. When she got out of the car she literally took my breath away. She was also SO funny. I have so many of the cutest pictures of her laughing out loud. (I should send one to her boyfriend for Valentine's Day, huh?..btw, he was there too and was such a gentleman..they are so in love). One of these shots is going to be on the cover of a book!! I can't wait to show you all!! The author is Nya Nicks..and the title is Carlee's Paradise.
